Arabi Visual Arts offers two affordable spaces for rent to photographers, filmmakers, artists, as well as small businesses or organizations needing meeting space. There are multiple options available, so please read carefully or call Christopher Ryan at 504-373-9476 for a free tour of the facility.
The studio is located in Arabi, which is only a ten minute drive from the French Quarter making it an ideal location for New Orleans photography and video studio rentals. We are also convenient to just about any location in St. Bernard Parish.
Complete Studio Rental Package – Large Studio
Description: This package includes full use of the main space, which is 47′ long by 24′ wide. The space is located in the St. Claude Arts Building which includes plenty of parking, men’s & women’s restrooms, and is located immediately next door to a barber shop, styling salon, and Canseco’s Market. The space features a 20′ high roll-up door on one end which makes load-ins a snap! Additionally, the same bay door works great for attaching any of our many styles of 10′ X 20′ muslin backdrops.
ASSISTANT INCLUDED (optional): As a current promotion (through September 15, 2023) the owner will assist with your set-up, labor, lighting, etc. at NO EXTRA CHARGE. This free service can also be declined if privacy is important to you.
Creatives have access to any of our gear at no additional charge:
- All lighting (see full description below).
- Two work tables and 1 office chair.
- Modeling stool, apple box, office chair.
- Small rolling cart to organize your gear or props.
- Use of any available props. Check our props gallery for ideas.
- Tethering cable for Nikon (other brands coming soon).
- Step ladder and full size ladder.
- Standard backdrop rack that holds up to 3 rolls of paper.
- Tripods
- Blackout curtains cover all windows for complete privacy and control of lighting, OR remove them to make use of daylight.
Pricing:
- HOURLY: The hourly rate is only available between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.: $50 per hour
- HALF DAY: Any four hour period starting at/after 9:00 AM and ending by 9:00 PM: $150
- FULL DAY: Any eight hour period starting at/after 9:00 AM and ending anytime up to 9:00 PM. $250
- OVERNIGHT: Start anytime after 9:30 PM and end by 8:30 a.m. the next morning. $300
Extra Products & Services
- CARE PACKAGE: One hour of time with the owner or staff to assist with configuring the space to suit your needs. This hour can start prior to your rental, giving you even more time. With this option, you are also able to cancel with full refund of the rental fee & deposit for any reason at any time up until the one hour has expired. The Care Package fee would not be returned. $50
- LAPTOP: $30 for the entire rental period.
- CAMERA (Nikon D-750): $30 for the entire rental period. Includes several lenses.
- BACKGROUND PAPER: One roll of background paper is included in the rental if it does NOT touch the floor. If you chose to roll it out for seamless effect, the rate is $2 per linear foot.
- ART REMOVAL FEE: This space also functions as a gallery throughout the year. When considering a studio booking during an exhibition period please inquire as to whether art work needs to be removed from the wall. This may require an additional fee.

Small Studio
The small studio measures 6′ wide by 12′ long. This space is ideal for a dressing room, makeup artists, editing station, etc. This is only available for larger projects along with rental of the large space.

Meeting Space
This is the large studio (47′ X24′) with 20 folding chairs.
Pricing:
- HOURLY: The hourly rate is only available between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.: $50 per hour

Photography/Art Exhibition Space
Host your own photography or art exhibition and have full use of both spaces and all lights configured any way you would like. $1,000 for a full week. Optionally, book our staff to guarantee opening hours for only $20 per hour. This is YOUR space for the entire time and can be used for studio purposes as well. It will be configured to your specifications based on the lighting, gear, furniture and accessories we have in stock.
This differs from our regularly scheduled exhibitions in that there is no commision on any works sold. The exhibiting artist is responsible for demonstrating proper permitting with St. Bernard Parish for sales tax purposes.
